The AHI is designed for ponds and water gardens with koi and goldfish. With its 1.83 cubic feet of Hydro FilterSilk? media and 677 square feet of nitrifying bacterial Specific Surface Area (SSA), it is designed to metabolize 13,540 milligrams of ammonia, and 67.70 grams of fish food and waste per day from a maximum of 1,000 gallons of pond water. It is recommend for filtering up to an 8'x11' pond with a maximum depth of 2' or an 8'x8' pond with a maximum depth of 3' with fish loads up to 203.10 grams of total combined body weight.
